Detailed Description
Valcom's AS-2809/SRC VHF dipole antenna is a
rugged self supporting vertically polarized broadband antenna
covering the frequency range of 115-162 MHz. This general
purpose antenna can be used in the transmit or receive mode.
The antenna is designed for use under severe
environmental conditions encountered aboard naval ships.
The antenna radiating elements are housed in a single piece
fibreglass radome with an integral fibreglass mounting flange.
The antenna can handle 200 watts peak
envelope power and 100 watts average RF power over the entire
frequency range. It has a VSWR of less than 2.0:1 over the
115-162 MHz band. The RF input connector is an N-TYPE
receptacle located on the bottom of the base.
The antenna meets the requirements of
MIL-S-901D for shock, MIL-STD-167 for vibration and all the
service conditions of MIL-E-16400.
