Detailed Description
The OE-416A/SRC antenna
group is a twin-whip antenna system which provides broadband coverage
in the 4 - 30 MHz frequency range for HF shipboard receiving
systems. The antenna system consists of two 14 foot spun aluminum
antennas, a coaxial cable termination box, and an interconnecting
wire-rope mechanism.
The system is intended
for use on an OA-9242(V)4/SR tilt mechanism. The antennas used in the
system are self supporting tapered aluminum tubes with a fibreglass
insulator and mounting base.
The termination box
J-3152B/SRC contains three main components:
- a bowl insulator
- a coaxial type LC input connector
for interconnection to associated receiving equipment
- a fixed static-charged resistor
EMP protection is also
provided.
The system has been
qualified to MIL-S-901C for for shock, MIL-STD-167 for Type 1
vibration, and all the service conditions of MIL-E-16400. |
